Come on, admit it. You felt it, too. It was that same awe we felt for every boldly different outfit the Spice Girls wore. Like me, you’ll be happy to know that 90s fashion finally seems to be cool again. Let’s cheer for the decade of grunge, berry lips, flannel shirts tied around your waist and Brenda & Kelly wearing the same dress to Prom. (But probably no mom jeans for you—unless you don’t care about labels and you’re smart enough to wear them like this.)

It’s just what you need to add splash to a relatively monotone outfit, or even give yourself a more sexy sultry look with smoky eyes. This spring, try combining this bold lip colour to an all-white outfit for a very fresh WOW factor.

The Grunge Look Don’t worry, you don’t need to replicate Courtney Love circa 1993 to enjoy this trend. Grunge chic has been revived into a super cool modern look with updated leather jackets and Doc Martens, logo tees and edgy jewellery. Want to keep it minimal? Pair your classic outfit with some spiked earrings for a subtle peek-a-boo grunge effect.
