Attention girly girls! Oh, and also all you girls who aren’t so girly who are smart enough to still want to sport the prettiest spring fashion anyway. This season, designers are reviving flower power yet again. Oh yes. They’re all featuring happy florals, in one way or another, from head to toe. But each year, there’s a different way to wear them.

So let’s unburden. There is no better feeling than stripping off your boots and lacing up those sneakers, especially if they’re beautiful. The big question is: How do you wear your new floral patterns in a new way, taking some inspiration from last year, but adding a new twist.  Just do pull your pretty self together—this way.

How to Wear This Year’s Spring Florals

GENERAL RULE: This season, let those patterns shine through by pairing your tulip prints with soft whites and light denims for a soft and feminine look. Which patterns, whites and denims should you look for? Check these out?

Light skinny jeans can be as intimidating as whites to wear but they look soft and pretty when matched with a floral top. To help make them more flattering, try a cropped style or roll up the bottom to draw attention down to the ankles and help balance out the hips and thighs.

Fidelity Sola Jeans $204

Looking for a way to make your suits and blazers more feminine for work? There is nothing more feminine than a floral blouse. Throw it under a navy suit for a great focal point and instant style

Reitmans Floral Sleeveless Blouse $45

Linen is like summer cashmere. If you are looking at pairing your floral shoes with something simple, try one of the many flowy linen dresses that are out this summer. Throw a woven belt on top to show off your shape and give it a more personalized look.

Simons Linen Shirtdress $99

There is something freeing about walking out the door with a pair of jeans and a T-shirt on. You can almost count the number of days we get to do it in Canada. Step up this classic look with a pair of on trend floral flats to help you separate yourself from the crowd.

Ted Baker Floral Shoes $145

Massimo is always a go-to place for white blouses (and belts and leather jackets). You probably have one hanging in your closet, but with the new season here, it may need replacing or even adding a fresh second choice so you can change up that floral look.

Massimo Blouse $94.50

If you already have the basic white blouse checked off your list, it’s time to pick one with a little more personality. There are so many amazing lace tops in stores right now, so it is just a matter of finding one that feels like you. Floral and lace. Nothing is prettier.

LOFT Lacy Sheer Blouse $80.95

You may not be wearing the newest culottes just yet, but hey, why not? The denim ones are back with a vengeance. This super flattering style works best with (floral?) heels or wedges to elongate the leg and hide a multitude of sins.

NYDJ Denim Culottes $155.09

Whoever named these floral shoes “jackpot” was genius because that is exactly what you are going to say when you put them on with your solid little sheath dress or jeans or romper or anything else in your closet.

Nine West Jackpot Pump $125
