Like rubbing ourselves all over with grapefruit. Literally. Because sometimes you have to experiment to get the beauty results you want, right? And grapefruits have all kinds of benefits we didn’t know about.
Well, guess what, all you naysayers? This time it worked. Oh yes, this recipe for a sweet grapefruit hand and foot scrub is nothing short of miraculous. It will smoothe your skin and make you smell all fruity and fresh and fabulous. Plus, you don’t have to shell out for fancy creams that may or may not work.
Beauty DIY: Make Your Own Grapefruit Body ScrubThis is one scrub you can make at home with just a few ingredients you probably already have just sitting around in your kitchen. And the best part is that it takes less than 5 minutes to make. So there.

Sunkist® Grapefruit Hand and Foot Scrub

INGREDIENTS (and yes, there are only two!)

  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed Sunkist® grapefruit juice
  • ½ cup raw sugar

DIY DIRECTIONS

1. In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed grapefruit juice with ½ cup raw sugar into a paste.
2. Apply to your hands and feet and cover with plastic bags.
3. Leave covered for 1-2 minutes.
4. Rinse off with warm water and apply a creamy moisturizer.
Note: Citrus fruit can irritate sensitive skin, so be sure to wash it off immediately if you feel a tingling sensation. If you’d rather eat your grapefruit, try one of these delicious recipes.
